Shipping and Returns



Few product timelines may vary, hence Individual delivery timelines are mentioned in product descriptions. Since its made to order delays can happen sometimes about which we would keep the client informed in process. In case you want any product earlier kindly contact us immediately after placing your order - if we can then we will try our level best to deliver it to you on your date and will keep you informed on the same.

  • Shipping and Delivery will be depended on the lockdown guidelines and availability of courier services in the respective areas.

  • Shipping costs may vary across states/countries, in case of certain remote areas only our team would get in touch and send the additional amount of shipping at the time of shipping the product. The product would be shipped only after the additional amount is paid by the client.

  • We request customers to be understanding and patient in case the shipping gets delayed.

  • We calculate the shipping cost at the time of check-out which is auto generated based on the given area zip code and weight.

  • Shipping cost might differ based on different states/countries.

  • It is to be noted that we do not offer cash on delivery for orders that are made though website/online basis

  • Estimate delivery timeline is provided as guidelines only to give you a fair idea of when you may receive the parcel. These do not take into account possible delays caused by payment authorization. We aim to dispatch all orders within 4-6-8-12 Weeks, however estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch. We are not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes. Please do note that we are unable to redirect orders once items have been dispatched and that all orders require a signature upon receipt.

    Taxes, Customs & Duties 


    For Indian Customers : Product Prices displayed are inclusive of all taxes and duties.

    For International Customers: Most countries are shipped to on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis, which means product prices displayed are exclusive of all import & custom duties. As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are in, payment of these at the time of delivery is necessary to release your order from customs on arrival.

    How much time does it take to Deliver? 

    • Heavy work garments (Indian Prét) will take about 6-8 weeks for it to be ready for delivery so we recommend you to place an order 10-12 weeks prior to the desired delivery date.
    • Some exquisite bridal wear will take about 12 weeks for it to be ready for delivery
    • For Western Prét and Accessories the dispatch period is approximately 3-4 weeks

    Dispatch Information

            Order cut-off times will be provided to customers to give them a fair idea of the delivery date. Please note that these do are not accountable in case of possible delays caused due to payment authorization.

    The average dispatch period for all orders is 6-8 weeks and estimate delivery dates commence from the date of dispatch only.

    PhD is not responsible for delays from destination custom clearance processes, and once the items have been dispatched, redirecting orders will not be possible.




    Returns and Exchange Policy

    Since we do not mass-produce and every single product is hand-curated for each of our customers, we do not entertain any order canceling, return or exchange requests as of now.


    Email Requirements

     Please make sure to email us in case of any issues within the period of 6 working days.

    The email should include important details such as an order number, Full name, contact number, and attached images showing product issues. Once the email is sent, the product issues would be run through and solved mutually. In case of damage, the product video would have to be taken from the very beginning of a completely sealed package from all sides the package must be shown in the video before it is opened (This is to match with the images of the sealed product we have in our data). In such scenarios exchange of the same selected product is only possible with due time to make the same. Do note at no point do we accept returns as everything is custom made/made to measure. The product is to be dispatched by the customer (charges borne by the customer) back to our address, with a tracking number and courier service details sent to us.

    For Custom Size Guide Fittings Policy

    Since it’s made to measure, we try our level best to achieve the best fits for our clients but every body type is unique and their is no set standard for made to measure. In store we have a minimum of 2-3 fitting sessions to achieve the best fit, for online orders once the parcel is received in case of fitting issues the client would have to send us a video (via email) of the fittings area problems and mention to us in inches the alterations to be done. The piece would have to be couriered to us and the piece would be altered as specifications mentioned by the client. The to & fro charges for the same would have to be borne by the client.
